“When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.”

Armenia Tree Project started with a simple goal:

to work toward a greener, healthier future for Armenia

Every day, we continue this mission by restoring Armenia’s tree cover, empowering communities, and fostering environmental stewardship for generations to come.

8M+ TREES HAVE BEEN PLANTED BY ATP SINCE 1994

110,000+ BENEFICIARIES

11 REGIONS

1,850+ COMMUNITIES

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to assist the Armenian people in using trees to
improve their standard of living and protect the global
environment. In so doing, we are guided by the need to promote self-sufficiency, aid those with the fewest resources first, and .conserve the indigenous ecosystem

Our Work

Our work starts in commercial-scale nurseries and in our social microenterprise backyard tree farms. We grow and nurture native species seedlings, then transplant them across Armenia’s forests and communities.

Along the way, we engage thousands of students a year in our environmental education programs and support social enterprises for people from marginalized communities, including forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh
