“When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.”

Armenia Tree Project began with a simple but vital goal

to create a greener, healthier future for Armenia.

Today, we continue to carry that mission forward—restoring the country’s forested landscapes, supporting communities, and nurturing a sense of environmental responsibility for generations to come.

9M+ TREES HAVE BEEN PLANTED BY ATP SINCE 1994

110,000+ BENEFICIARIES

11 REGIONS

1,850+ COMMUNITIES

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to assist the Armenian people in using trees to
improve their standard of living and protect the global
environment. In so doing, we are guided by the need to promote self-sufficiency, aid those with the fewest resources first, and .conserve the indigenous ecosystem

Our Work

From Nurseries to Thriving Forests and Communities

At Armenia Tree Project work begins in four main tree nurseries, as well as through Backyard Nursery (BYN) program, where rural families grow tree seedlings on their own backyards. Here, we grow and care for native tree species that are later planted in Armenia’s forests and communities.

Each year, we involve thousands of students in our environmental education programs and support livelihood opportunities for vulnerable communities, including Armenians forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
