Vahe Matsakyan

Forestry Program Manager

Vahe Matsakyan is an Armenian forestry expert and Candidate of Biological Sciences with over 15 years of experience in forest management and environmental conservation. He has held senior positions in Armenia’s public forestry sector, including Deputy Chairman of the Forest Committee and Director of Hayantar State Non-Commercial Organization, and currently serves as a Forestry Program Manager at the Armenia Tree Project Charitable Foundation. Throughout his career, Vahe has been an active national expert for numerous international organizations, including UNDP, FAO, and the EU while contributing to Armenia’s climate reporting under the UNFCCC and sustainable forest management initiatives across the country.
